Frequently asked questions.

What Style Of Training Do You Use?

At 9 Pack K9, we are all about teaching and allowing our energy to steer the way when it comes to training pups! We use a balanced customized approach for each one of our client’s pups! We also use the tools that are necessary for the pup’s temperament, drive, training pack, owner’s lifestyle, and goals!

Are Private Lessons Or Board & Train The Better Option For Me?

If you have the time and dedication to learning and following through with the homework, private lessons can be a great option. In our experience, our board & train programs give our clients the best results, and then we follow up with private lessons afterward. We find it to be an easier transition for the owner and canine once the canine has already learned what to do and the canine can then help the owner to keep up with their training!

Where Does My Dog Stay During A Board & Train?

You can have peace of mind knowing your pup stays with us in our family home where we are able to mimic the similar lifestyle they will have at home with you! For the majority of the day, they will be engaged in training sessions, playtime, outings, socialization, and walks! When it is time to rest they will be inside a secured Ruff Land Performance Kennel appropriate to their specific size with proper ventilation, fresh water, and AC in our home!

Will My Dog Interact With Other Dogs During Their Program?

We do not allow our pups to physically interact, a lot of times this is unnatural for the pups. We do however train other dogs in front of them through an outdoor kennel so they are able to see, smell and even walk next to other dogs! This allows us to appropriately incorporate socialization!

What Are The Requirements For A Board & Train Program?

We require a copy of the most recent vet records. We require all pups to be up to date on vaccinations appropriate to their age! As well as a recent fecal exam and proof of a monthly parasitic preventative medication. This is for the safety of your pup as well as other pups during their stay!

On the day of pick up or drop off, we also need your dog’s food for the amount of time of their stay! All other items will be provided by us!

What Happens After A Board & Train Program Is Over?

Once it is time for your amazing well-trained pup to return home we will provide an intensive one-on-one session with you and your pup free of charge so you know exactly what to do to maintain their training long-term! We encourage follow-up private lessons periodically to touch base on your journey! We also provide each of our clients with a set of written tips to refer back to! We also promote our clients to text or call us with any questions once the pup is back home!
